Another Great Auction
A souvenir money box modelled after a traditional British Royal Mail pillar box, constructed from cast metal with a red painted finish and a black base. The cylindrical body features an embossed vertical inscription reading POST OFFICE and a royal cipher for Queen Elizabeth II (EIIR) surmounted by a crown. A horizontal coin slot is located beneath the fluted domed top. The front includes a printed paper label inset into a raised frame, depicting a postal collection schedule with times for Monday to Friday at 5.30pm and Saturday at 12 noon. The underside is fitted with a black plastic twist-to-open plug marked with OPEN and CLOSE directional arrows.
