Another Great Auction
A mid-20th century Nepalese kukri featuring a forward-curving steel blade with a single fuller and a traditional kaudi notch at the base near the bolster. The hilt is constructed from dark horn, decorated with two circular white inlays, and finished with a brass bolster and a flared horn pommel with a diamond-shaped brass butt-plate. The weapon is housed in a traditional black leather-covered wooden scabbard, which features a brass chape at the tip. Included within the scabbard are two small ancillary knives: the karda and the chakmak, both featuring matching horn handles. No military markings or maker’s stamps are visible on the blade or hilt.
Blade length: 11 inches.
