This extensive service of sixty-two pieces is manufactured from English fine bone china by Royal Doulton in the Lilactime pattern, reference H. 5022. Each piece is decorated with a white ground featuring a lilac-coloured transfer-printed border of scrolling foliate and damask-inspired motifs, enclosed by two thin platinum-toned bands. The service includes two large circular lidded tureens with twin loop handles and rounded finials, dinner plates, side or salad plates, rimmed soup or cereal bowls, a cream or milk jug, a lidded sugar bowl, and saucers. The underside of each piece bears a green printed backstamp comprising a crown surmounted by a lion within a circular frame inscribed Royal Doulton, surrounded by text reading Made in England and English Fine Bone China. The pattern name Lilactime and number H. 5022 are also present alongside Copyright Doulton & Co Limited.
