A group of approximately fourteen vintage tobacco and cigar containers dating from the early to mid-20th century. The collection includes a variety of lithographed metal tins, wooden boxes, and cardboard packaging from notable British manufacturers. Included are multiple Ogden’s St. Bruno tobacco tins in various sizes and formats, such as a large St. Bruno Cake tin and a pocket-sized St. Bruno Flake Rough Cut tin. A Kensitas “flat fifty” cigarette tin is present, featuring the brand’s butler character and the slogan Your Kensitas, Sir. The collection also includes a small 1953 Coronation souvenir tin with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II marked ER. Further items comprise a John Player & Sons Perfectos Finos round tin for fifty cigarettes, a heavily weathered Capstan Navy Cut tin, a blue Turquesa No. 4 tin, and a black Manikin Cigars tin. The lot also contains a wooden Du Barry cigar box with internal labels for Havana filler, an El Ecuador Petit Coronas cardboard box, a pictorial tin titled Peace bringing back Plenty, and a larger storage tin with red, gold, and black stripes.
