Another Great Auction
This Art Deco style sculpture is attributed to Alfredo Santini and depicts an elegant woman walking a pair of dogs. The tall, slender female figure is dressed in a floor-length cream-coloured gown featuring a finely textured bodice. She is adorned with a small golden tiara on her upswept hair and a dark beaded necklace. In her hands, she holds two fine gold-tone metal chain leashes attached to two dogs, possibly Borzois or Greyhounds, finished in a black and tan colourway. The figures appear to be crafted from a ceramic material or cold-cast resin with a matte bisque finish. The assembly is mounted on a tiered rectangular black base, which sits on a larger dark wooden plinth. No maker marks are visible on the exterior surfaces.
