An English Regency period adjustable pole screen, circa 1830. The rectangular screen is set with a needlepoint panel depicting a central floral bouquet within a foliate border, encased in a frame with Rococo-revival C-scroll and foliate carvings. It is mounted on a slender, turned mahogany pole terminating in a decorative finial. The height is adjustable by way of a brass collar and thumbscrew. The piece is supported by a circular stepped base with radial gadrooned carving, raised on three short, scrolled feet.
