Buyer's Premium:

An early 20th-century wall clock housed in a stained oak case, designed in the Vienna regulator style. The case features a stepped architectural pediment at the top, decorated with a central diamond-shaped applied carving and two flanking turned bosses. The front of the case is detailed with turned and fluted pilasters on either side of the dial and a glazed lower section. The circular brass dial presents an Arabic numeral chapter ring with two winding apertures for a spring-driven, two-train mechanical movement. The centre of the dial shows significant oxidation and wear. Below the dial, a glazed door reveals a circular brass-faced pendulum bob. This style of clock was widely produced in Germany and Great Britain for the domestic market between 1920 and 1940. While visually similar to examples by makers such as Gustav Becker or Kienzle, no maker’s name or trademark is visible on the dial face or within the provided images.
