Another Great Auction
An early 20th-century German Vienna regulator style wall clock manufactured by Junghans. The walnut-stained wooden case features a full-length glazed door flanked by two prominent turned split-columns, surmounted by a decorative pediment and finished with a matching turned base. The off-white circular dial displays black Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, and red and gold-toned fleur-de-lis motifs positioned between the numerals. It is fitted with ornate pierced steel hands and two winding arbors. The manufacturer mark, consisting of two crossed arrows for Junghans, is printed on the dial between the centre and the 4 o’clock position. The clock houses a mechanical eight-day, two-train striking movement with a visible brass-faced circular pendulum bob on a rod.
