Another Great Auction
A small Danish pill box of rectangular form with rounded corners, manufactured by Hans Jensen. The hinged lid features a detailed high-relief repousse scene depicting a rustic pastoral setting with figures and a horse. The sides and base have a plain brushed finish. The interior exhibits the reverse of the lid decoration and shows some adhesive residue. On the inner rim of the base, the box is stamped DENMARK in block capitals, accompanied by the maker mark of a stylised swan facing left. A faint, partial numerical stamp is present but not clearly legible.
