A sterling silver cigarette case of rectangular form with a curved profile designed to fit comfortably in a pocket. The exterior features an all-over engine-turned design of fine parallel fluted bands. The case is constructed with a hinged opening and is secured by a thumb-piece push-button clasp. The interior has a polished finish. The rim of the case is struck with a full set of British hallmarks including the maker mark C&C for Colen Hewer Cheshire, the anchor symbol for the Birmingham Assay Office, the lion passant for sterling silver, and the lowercase cursive date letter b for 1926. Matching partial hallmarks are visible on the interior rim of the lid.
