Another Great Auction
A collection of three vintage medical anatomical wall charts published by the Anatomical Chart Co., Chicago, Illinois. The illustrations are by Ernest W. Beck, produced in consultation with Harry Monsen, Ph.D., Professor of Anatomy at the College of Medicine, University of Illinois. The charts carry copyright dates of 1982 and 1987. The set includes:
1. The Heart: This chart features detailed diagrams of heart chambers, valves, and vessels. It includes supplementary sections regarding electrocardiograms (ECG), coronary occlusion, and external cardiac compression (CPR) techniques.
2. The Skeletal System: This chart displays a full-length lateral view of a human skeleton. It includes inset detail drawings of the vertebrae and both front and rear views of the knee joints.
3. The Respiratory System: This chart illustrates the lungs and airway in detail. Supplementary diagrams show the larynx, vocal cords, conducting system, alveolar wall, and bronchopulmonary segments. A notable pathological section titled A cigarette smoker’s lungs is included for comparative purposes.
Each chart is printed on heavy-weight, semi-gloss paper with a laminated finish, designed as loose sheets for wall mounting.
