Another Great Auction
This lot comprises three items of printed interest relating to the Doncaster area and general literature. The first item is Blair’s County Borough of Doncaster Directory, bound in green publisher’s cloth. The front board is printed with local advertisements for J. Dixon Ltd. Building and Engineering Contractors of Balby, and Raynes Motors Ltd. of Cleveland Street. The second item is a Victorian religious work, The Child’s Bible. It is bound in dark leather with ornate gilt-tooled decorative borders and spine compartments, featuring a red leather title label with gilt lettering. The third item is a small holiday-themed booklet titled Christmas is Together-Time, featuring illustrations of Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts characters on a red pictorial wrapper.
