Another Great Auction
This lot comprises a collection of vintage ornithological recordings and a mechanical home craft kit. The audio component consists of several 7-inch EP records from the series titled The Peterson Field Guide to the Bird Songs of Britain and Europe. These were produced in collaboration with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and EMI. One visible sleeve identifies itself as Record 10 and contains tracks for the Woodlark and Tree Pipit, produced in electronic stereo. The sleeves carry the official RSPB Records logo. The second item is an Airlyne Home Rugmaker, manufactured by Airlyne Products of North Wales, Great Britain. It is housed in its original pictorial cardboard box featuring mid-century graphics and a pre-decimal price of 28s 6d. The internal contents include the mechanical metal tool, a black webbing strap, and original instructional ephemera including a leaflet with the heading Wait – Wait BEFORE COMMENCING.
