A Danbury Mint porcelain collector plate from The Beano Official Product Plate Collection, featuring characters from the comic strip The Three Bears (Ma, Pa, and Ted). The circular plate is decorated with a multi-coloured transfer-printed scene to the centre, which is encircled by a border of comic strip panels. The design is finished with a gilded rim. The reverse of the plate is printed with the collection logo, the title The Three Bears, copyright details for D.C. Thomson & Co., Ltd. dated 2001, and a facsimile signature for Danbury Mint. It also carries the warning: A work of art not intended for food use. An impressed number 33 is present near the rim. The plate is accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity, identifying the plate as Ma, Pa and Ted and bearing serial number 0533. It is housed within its original two-part polystyrene protective packaging.
