A fine porcelain collector plate from the Danbury Mint, belonging to The Beano Official Product Plate Collection. The plate features a transfer-printed design centred on the comic strip character Ball Boy engaged in a football match. The central scene is bordered by multiple smaller comic panels and speech bubbles, finished with a gilded rim. The reverse of the plate bears several transfer-printed marks including The Beano Official Product Plate Collection logo, licensing information for D.C. Thomson and Co. Ltd. dated 2001, the title Ball Boy, and a facsimile signature for the Danbury Mint. The item is accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity, bearing serial number 0608, and is housed in the original polystyrene protective packaging.
