A porcelain collector plate from the Danbury Mint The Beano Plate Collection, featuring the character Jonah. The plate displays a central transfer-printed scene of the character Jonah afloat on a barrel labelled Life Raft with a sinking ship in the background. The outer rim is decorated with various comic strip panels depicting the character. The rim is finished with a gilt edge. The reverse features printed marks including The Beano Official Product Plate Collection logo, copyright information for D.C. Thomson and Co. Ltd. dated 2001, the character name Jonah, and the Danbury Mint signature. An impressed number 28 is also visible on the underside. This item is accompanied by a Danbury Mint Certificate of Authenticity numbered 0987 and its original polystyrene protective packaging.
