An ecclesiastical wooden storage or presentation box, likely a sick call or last rites set, featuring an integrated long handle and a sliding lid. The lid is inset with an embossed white metal cross, possibly pewter or silver plate, displaying a repeating textured motif. The interior of the box is lined with a tan-coloured felt material. Included is a separate wooden cross with incised or pyrography trefoil floral patterns at the terminals of each arm. Both the box and cross are finished with a dark stain. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible on the metal or wood components.
