A pair of 19th-century copper and brass powder flasks, including a decorated example by James Dixon and Sons of Sheffield. The first flask features a pear-shaped copper body embossed on both sides with a repeating pattern of small stars and concentric circles within a stylised acanthus leaf border. It is fitted with a brass collar and an adjustable spring-loaded charger. The collar is marked within a decorative cartouche DIXON and the nozzle is stamped DIXON & SON. The second flask is a plain pear-shaped copper body with a brass collar, lacking its internal spring and external nozzle assembly.
