Another Great Auction
This collection consists of three polychrome glazed porcelain figurines depicting characters from the stories of Beatrix Potter, manufactured by Royal Albert in England. The first model, titled Johnny Town-mouse with a Bag, portrays the mouse character in a brown jacket holding a pink bag and a green-banded cane. The second model, titled Jemima Puddleduck with Foxy Whiskered Gentleman, depicts Jemima in her signature blue bonnet and shawl alongside the fox character in a green coat and reddish waistcoat. The third figurine represents the character Mr. Tod, featuring the fox in a pale green jacket and pink waistcoat. All pieces are slip-cast and decorated with underglaze colours finished with a high-gloss clear glaze. The bases of the Johnny Town-mouse and Jemima Puddleduck figurines feature printed backstamps including the Royal Albert crown mark, the character titles, and copyright information for F. Warne and Co. 1988 and Royal Albert Ltd 1989.
