A collection of glazed ceramic figurines depicting characters from the stories of Beatrix Potter. The assortment includes Peter Rabbit in his signature blue jacket, Poorly Peter Rabbit bundled in a red and white striped handkerchief, Mrs. Rabbit carrying a yellow basket and wearing a pink shawl, Squirrel Nutkin holding a green nut, Mr. Alderman Ptolemy Tortoise with a basket of salad, and a mouse character, Mrs. Tittlemouse, depicted with a broom. Each figure features hand-painted details and a high-gloss finish. Two bases are clearly marked with factory stamps. One base is marked BEATRIX POTTER’S Poorly Peter Rabbit © F. Warne & Co. Ltd. Copyright 1976 BESWICK ENGLAND, with a hand-painted mark 32 in red. The second is marked Beswick MADE IN ENGLAND PETER AND THE RED POCKET HANDKERCHIEF © BEATRIX POTTER © F. WARNE & CO. 1947 © 1997 ROYAL DOULTON EXCLUSIVELY FOR COLLECTORS CLUB EDITION FOR PETER RABBIT AND FRIENDS, with a hand-painted brown mark H. The remaining figures are consistent in style and manufacture with the Beswick range.
