A pair of United Kingdom silver Maundy coins issued during the reign of Queen Victoria, dated 1861. The lot consists of a silver two-pence coin and a silver four-pence coin. The reverse of the two-pence piece features a crowned numeral 2 within a wreath, with the date 1861 split on either side of the crown. The reverse of the four-pence piece features a crowned numeral 4 within a wreath, also dated 1861. Both coins are struck in sterling silver. The obverse of these issues typically features the Young Head portrait of Queen Victoria. The coins are housed in a blue plastic folding coin wallet with clear pockets and a typed paper identification label reading 1861 MAUNDY 2 & 4 PENCE.
