Another Great Auction
A pair of silver Maundy coins from the reign of Queen Victoria. The lot includes a Maundy Penny dated 1847 and a Maundy Twopence dated 1864. Both coins are struck in silver and display the standard reverse designs for the period: a crowned central numeral within a tied oak and laurel wreath, with the date characters split to either side of the numeral. The pieces are presented in a dark blue synthetic folding wallet containing clear plastic sleeves and typewritten identification labels.
