A large-scale rectangular textile wall hanging featuring a traditional fox hunting scene. The tapestry is machine-woven, in the style of mid-20th-century French jacquard textiles such as those produced by Goblys. The scene depicts several huntsmen in hunting pinks on horseback leading a pack of hounds through an expansive rural landscape. The background features a detailed village with half-timbered cottages and a prominent church spire. The textile has a dense, short-pile woven texture. It is presented in a contemporary frame with a dark-toned outer border, a wide cream-coloured inner slip, and a thin light-coloured fillet. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the front of the piece.
