This large machine-woven area rug is designed in a traditional Persian style. It features a central field of deep burgundy-red, decorated with a symmetrical pattern of interlocking scrolling foliate and floral motifs. The motifs are rendered in a colour palette of cream, tan, and olive green, with subtle blue accents. This central area is enclosed by a wide, ivory-ground main border with a continuous floral scroll, flanked by narrower guard borders displaying repeating geometric and floral patterns. The rug is constructed with a dense, medium-height pile, likely composed of synthetic fibres or a wool-synthetic blend. The edges are finished with machine stitching.
