The ring is set with three graduated oval and round-cut garnets of a deep red colour, alternating with two round-cut opals showing a white body colour with pinfire flashes of green and orange. The gemstones are claw-set in a decorative carved bridge style gallery featuring ornate scrollwork and chased details to the shoulders. Stamped hallmarks are present to the interior of the shank, including a crown symbol and an anchor for Birmingham.
