A sterling silver and guilloche enamel brooch designed in the Art Nouveau style. The piece features a central shield-shaped motif decorated with a multi-coloured enamel maple leaf in autumnal tones of green, yellow, orange, and red, set against a white engine-turned background. This central element is enclosed by an openwork scrolled frame finished with translucent light purple guilloche enamel. The reverse is fitted with a horizontal pin mechanism and a roll-over safety clasp. The reverse of the frame and the central shield are both marked STERLING followed by a circled C copyright symbol. A maker mark consisting of the letter G within a circular border is also present on the reverse of the central shield.
