This limited edition print, a photomechanical reproduction after an original work by David Cartwright, depicts a dramatic scene from the Battle of Waterloo. The artwork portrays British infantry ranks in red coats engaged in combat amidst heavy battle smoke, with two regimental colours, including the Union flag, visible above the soldiers. The print is hand-signed by the artist in pencil to the lower right margin and numbered 262/650 in pencil to the lower left margin. The title Battle of Waterloo and the artist’s name are printed in the centre of the lower margin. The work is presented in a double mount and housed in a gilt wood frame with a rope-twist border, protected by glass. Two auction lot labels numbered 1148 are affixed to the glass.
