Attributed to Thomas Kinkade for Hawthorne Village, this Faith Mountain sculpture is a multi-level 3D diorama depicting the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The piece is constructed from hand-painted polystone and is mounted on a circular, dark-stained polished wooden base. The tiered mountainous landscape features several vignettes illustrating the biblical narrative of Holy Week, including the Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem, the Trial before Roman authority, the Carrying of the Cross, the Crucifixion at Calvary featuring three wooden crosses, and the Pieta. At the summit, the figure of the risen Christ stands with arms outstretched upon a translucent, cloud-like mount. A brass-toned metal plaque is attached to the front of the wooden base, inscribed with the text: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. A small push-button switch is located on the side of the base to control internal illumination.
Height: 16 inches.
