Buyer's Premium:

A pair of heavy brass 105mm artillery shell casings associated with the Royal Artillery and dated 1971. One casing is mounted with a brass Royal Artillery cap badge featuring the Queen Elizabeth II crown above a field gun, with the mottoes UBIQUE and QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT. The bases of both shells are incised with 105MM, RLB, L7, and 1971. One base additionally features black stencilled markings reading 36A3 and SUPER. The RLB mark indicates the manufacturer was Royal Laboratories Birtley. This calibre of shell was standard for the British Army during the period, notably for use with the L118 Light Gun and the Abbot self-propelled gun.
