The central design features the iconic blue five-pointed star containing a silhouette of the Tyne Bridge and the Newcastle city skyline. This is surrounded by a white oval border containing the brand name in red block lettering with black outlines. The central motif is flanked by illustrations of green hop cones and leaves to the left and golden ears of barley to the right. The design includes two pairs of red circular medallions at the top and bottom edges of the oval, representing international exhibition awards. The top left medallion identifies the year 1928 and The Newcastle Breweries Ltd. The graphics are reverse-printed on the glass plate. The mirror is housed in a dark-stained moulded wooden frame.
