Attributed to the Chribska glassworks or various Murano makers, this mid-century hand-blown art glass centrepiece bowl is produced using the sommerso technique. The vessel features an outer layer of amethyst-pink glass encasing a deep blue core. It is worked into a four-lobed freeform shape with a high, undulating rim. The piece is supported by a solid clear glass footed base with a textured, pulled finish. This form is characteristic of the designs produced by Josef Hospodka for Chribska in the 1960s. No etched signatures or manufacturer labels are visible on the item.
Diameter: 22.5 cm.
