A collection of ten square earthenware tiles, dating from the late 19th century. Each tile is decorated with a symmetrical botanical design in a monochrome deep green transfer-print. The pattern is centred on a multi-petaled flowerhead, possibly a peony or chrysanthemum, surrounded by elaborate foliate scrolls and acanthus-style leaves that extend to the corners. The decorative style reflects the influence of the Aesthetic Movement within late Victorian decorative arts. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on the face of the tiles.
