This lot includes a vintage advertising tin and a decorative ceramic plaque. The first item is a rectangular lithographed tinplate container for Cobra brand boot polish, a British product manufactured by Blyth & Platt Ltd. The tin features a green ground decorated with gold-toned scrollwork and a central oval motif containing a cobra. It is printed with the brand name Cobra on the lid and sides, with the text The Boot Polish visible on one side. The second item is a square, heavy-bodied terracotta tile with a glazed front. The amber-yellow glaze features significant crazing over a black line drawing illustrating a figure interacting with a serpent. The right-hand edge is inscribed vertically with the text Seth’s Vision In Paradise. The reverse of the tile is unglazed terracotta showing impressed rectangular markings from the manufacturing process.
