This lot comprises two items of contemporary studio pottery by the Northern Irish ceramicist Diane McCormick. The first piece is a tall, cylindrical stoneware vase with a two-part decorative finish. The upper section is a matte buff colour featuring a hand-painted blue line drawing of a stylized creature and a red patterned box. The lower section is finished in a textured, metallic orange and brown lustre glaze with raised nodules. The base is impressed with a circular mark reading MCCORMICK DIANE with the number 65 in the centre. The second piece is a deep cylindrical vessel finished in a thick, glossy black glaze. Three hand-modelled creature figures are applied to the exterior, featuring blue-green textured skin, yellow eyes, and red horns. One figure is integrated into a curved red handle. The interior has a pale matte glaze.
