A waisted or double-gourd form earthenware vase by Dean’s (Burslem) Ltd, Staffordshire. The exterior is decorated in the Ye Old Dresden pattern, a polychrome floral chintz-style design featuring large pink, yellow, and purple blossoms with smaller blue flowers and dense green foliage. The motif is set against a delicate green and white honeycomb diaper ground. The flared rim is finished with an iron-red hand-painted line. The underside bears a green printed backstamp featuring a rampant lion crest and the words England, Dean’s, Burslem, Ye Old, Dresden.
