A UK five-pound commemorative crown issued in 2008 to mark the 450th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth I. Struck by The Royal Mint in cupro-nickel with a Brilliant Uncirculated finish. The reverse, designed by Rod Kelly, depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth I within a mandorla-shaped frame, inscribed ELIZABETH REGINA with dates MDLVIII and MMVIII. The obverse features the fourth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. The coin is presented in its original illustrated fold-out card packaging containing historical context and technical specifications.
