The lid is inscribed with gold Cyrillic text: to the centre right is the title Утро в сосновом лесу (Utro v sosnovom lesu – Morning in a Pine Forest); to the bottom right is the production centre Федоскино (Fedoskino) and the artist signature Т. Редькина (T. Redkina); to the top left is a further inscription reading Васина Н. (Vasina N.).
