A set of three vintage kitchen storage canisters manufactured by Hornsea Pottery in East Yorkshire, England. This group includes one canister marked for TEA, one for COFFEE, and one unlabelled lidded jar. Each vessel is of cylindrical form with a slightly tapered neck, crafted in glazed stoneware. The canisters feature the Saffron pattern, designed by John Clappison, characterised by relief-moulded bands of stylised daisy flowers and concentric circles. The decoration is finished in a period palette of ochre and burnt orange glazes. Each jar is fitted with a flat wooden lid, likely teak, which includes an internal rubber seal. The base of the canisters bears a circular printed mark: HORNSEA 1977, SAFFRON, MADE IN ENGLAND, with a central stylised logo of two interlocking S shapes.
