The figure is suspended from a circular base, designed to resemble a mechanical docking port or hatch, by a curved dark metal rod. The astronaut features a metallic gold-toned visor and a detailed life-support backpack with tan-coloured straps. The piece is constructed from cast resin with a matte painted finish, including intentional weathering and space grime detailing. The base has a distressed metallic silver finish.
