This vintage animated plush toy represents Mickey Mouse as featured in The Talking Mickey Mouse Show, manufactured by Worlds of Wonder (WOW) circa 1986. The figure stands approximately 20 inches tall and is constructed from plush fabric with an internal electronic and mechanical animation system. The mechanism is powered by a cassette player located in the back of the figure, designed to synchronise the character’s speech with the movement of its eyes, nose, and mouth when used with specific animation tapes. Mickey is dressed in his traditional red shorts and a yellow t-shirt bearing the show’s logo. This set includes the original colour-illustrated retail window box, one animation cassette tape titled The Impossible Journey, and a corresponding illustrated storybook. The reverse of the box provides instructions on operation and advertisements for other available story tapes. The toy requires four C cell alkaline batteries for operation, which are not included.
