A pair of figural table lamps featuring polychrome porcelain bases. Each base depicts a seated figure in 18th-century style Rococo dress upon an ornate high-backed chair. One figure is a woman holding a stringed instrument, possibly a lute?, and the other is a man playing a violin. The porcelain is decorated with hand-painted floral motifs and highlighted with gilt metal effect accents throughout the chairs and scrolled bases. The figures are dressed in pink and white attire, with the male figure wearing patterned blue breeches. The lamps are fitted with brass-toned metal armatures and small bayonet bulb holders. One lamp retains a domed pink fabric shade adorned with a gold-braided border and a deep fringe of clear glass bead droplets. The electrical components include white power cords and one UK 3-pin plug. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
