An antique desktop aneroid barometer housed in a substantial cast brass case of architectural, tent-like form. The polished brass body features a pointed central finial and four prominent conical corner spikes, supported by a flared rectangular base. The circular white dial is protected by glass and features decorative foliate scrolls and black printed text indicating atmospheric conditions including Stormy, Rain, Change, Fair, and Very Dry. The pressure scale is graduated from 28 to 31 inches and is fitted with a blued steel indicator hand and a brass set hand adjusted via a central knurled knob. A curved spirit thermometer is integrated into the right side of the dial, with a scale marked from 20 to 110 degrees. The dial bears a printed circular emblem at the top with the readable text CASSELLA arranged in an arc, above the word LONDON. The rear of the case is open, revealing the internal metal aneroid mechanism.
