A full-size Palma PI 44 classical acoustic guitar, distributed by John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd. The instrument is constructed with a natural-finish spruce-coloured laminate top and features a dark-stained bridge. The back, sides, and neck are finished in a reddish-brown gloss. The guitar is fitted with a rosewood-effect fingerboard and a traditional slotted headstock housing six side-mounted open-gear tuning machines with white plastic buttons. The soundhole is embellished with a multi-coloured geometric mosaic-style rosette. Inside the soundhole is an oval paper label with a foliate border printed with the text PALMA, below this is PI 44, followed by John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd. and Made in China. The guitar is currently strung with three nylon and three metal-wound nylon strings.
