A classically styled bisque ceramic figure depicting a partially draped female subject, likely a bather or a representation of Venus. The figure is posed in a gentle contrapposto stance, supporting her weight on one leg while clutching a voluminous drape that falls from her waist to an integral tree trunk-style support. The figure wears a simple diadem or band within her hair, which is gathered into a traditional bun. The sculpture is finished with a matte, off-white surface characteristic of unglazed bisque ware and stands upon a circular stepped base. The reverse of the figure features a yellow adhesive label printed with the numerals 5423.
Height: 43 cm.
