A pair of antique wooden candlesticks of tall, slender form. Each piece is constructed with a distinctive barley-twist stem, typical of the late 19th or early 20th century. The candlesticks are crafted from oak? with a prominent grain and a dark-stained, polished finish. The upper section features a cylindrical candle cup fitted with a removable metal liner for holding tapers. The stems transition into a series of turned collars before terminating in a broad, stepped circular base. The undersides of the bases are weighted and finished with green felt. Each base bears a yellow adhesive label printed with the characters 5376.
Height: 30.5 cm.
