A table lamp constructed from a repurposed brass scientific instrument?, possibly a quadrant or astrolabe component. The vertical central column is of square-section brass, supporting an adjustable assembly including a curved, graduated scale and multiple pivoting arms with decorative finials. One arm terminates in a teardrop-shaped weight, while another features a tiered, bulbous finial. The assembly is mounted to a roughly hewn, three-pointed wooden base showing natural grain and several small boreholes. The metalwork exhibits a dark, aged patina with areas of surface oxidation and tarnish throughout. The lamp is fitted with a white plastic B22 bayonet-cap bulb holder and brass gallery. The curved brass scale is engraved with numerical increments 10 and 20 alongside linear graduation marks. The electrical fitting includes a clear plastic-coated twin-core cable, an inline white plastic thumb switch, and a brown plastic two-round-pin European-style plug.
Height: 51 cm.
