A Masonic Craft Past Master’s collar and suspended jewel, of the type used within the United Grand Lodge of England. The collar is constructed from light blue moiré watered silk ribbon, featuring a central band of silver-toned braid and a decorative spherical button at the point of the V-shape. Suspended from the collar is a white metal jewel in the form of a stonemason’s square, decorated with foliate engraving to the arms. Hanging within the square is the 47th Proposition of Euclid, also known as the Pythagorean theorem, which identifies the rank of a Past Master. The reverse of the jewel is plain and lacks visible hallmarks or maker’s marks. The collar is currently presented on a white padded fabric hanger.
