A mid century wooden sewing box of cantilever construction, featuring a five-tray expanding storage system. The unit is fashioned from stained wood with visible grain, exhibiting finger-jointed corners for structural durability. The design incorporates a central curved carry handle and two hinged top lids that open to reveal the upper compartments, which swing outwards on wooden struts secured with metal pivot screws to provide access to the lower tiers. The interior is finished in a lighter, natural-toned wood, possibly beech or pine. The entire assembly is raised upon four square tapered legs, functioning as a free-standing storage chest.
