A Victorian? period carved dark wood table stand of rectangular form with canted corners. The upper surface is elaborately worked in deep relief with a botanical composition featuring bunches of grapes, scrolling vines, and broad palmate leaves. This decorative scheme surrounds two central circular flat-topped plinths, likely intended for the placement of decanters, bowls, or candlesticks. The entire border is finished with a stylized rope-twist edge. The stand is supported by four raised bun feet crafted from a brass-coloured metal. The underside shows a natural horizontal separation in the timber grain. No maker’s marks or inscriptions are visible on the piece.
