A UK silver Maundy penny dated 1833. The obverse features a profile portrait of King William IV facing right. The perimeter carries a partially legible Latin inscription, transcribed as GULIELMUS IIII D G BRITANNIAR REX F D. The coin is presented in a clear plastic protective sleeve, housed within a small black bifold wallet. An adhesive paper label is present within the wallet, printed with the text 1833 MAUNDY PENNY. The coin exhibits dark, even toning across the visible surface, consistent with a circulated silver specimen from the early nineteenth century.
